  How to Get Here

From Shrewsbury follow the A458 through Welshpool following the signs for Dolgellau. About 26 miles west of Welshpool there is a roundabout where the A458 meets the A470. At this roundabout turn right towards Dolgellau. After about 3/4 mile, turn left (follow brown tourism signs) along a lane.

Ty Derw is about 1/4 mile along lane on right hand side - immediately beyond two large barns.

Enjoy the relaxed informal atmosphere of our comfortable home.
Set in its own grounds, Ty Derw is a charming Victorian country house situated in the beautiful Dyfi Valley in the southern fringe of the Snowdonia National Park. The name Ty Derw means Oak Tree House and refers to the huge oak tree in the front garden. The tree, like the house, is reputed to be about 150 years old. We offer four en-suite bedrooms (two double and two twin, one twin on the ground floor) all of which have been recently refurbished to a high standard offering all the facilities you would expect - and if you can't find it, just ask and we will be pleased to help! Our guest sitting room is warm and comfortable and offers TV, CD, DVD player and radio. There are plenty of maps and local guide books for your use and we have a selection of magazines, books, videos, DVDs and CDs for you to enjoy.

Enjoy Welsh hospitality at its best in our cosy dining room.
Nick will prepare you a delicious full breakfast and dinner is available by prior arrangement. Local produce is used as and when available. Ty Derw is a licensed property; enjoy a drink before dinner and linger over your meal with a glass of wine chosen from our interesting, varied and reasonably priced wine list.

Sorry, we do not allow guests to smoke at Ty Derw or to bring their pets.
